We had the oppurtunity to go to Chicago in May over memorial day to visit family and friends. Also to introduce Kaleb to them all. Well it was our first airplane ride with a baby so it was very stressful to say the least. The day before we were flying out of Utah we found out you could only check 1 bag each so I figured we could just carrying on our smaller bag well I forgot to check what I had packed in it so when we went through security they asked to go through the bag and it ended up being Tim's shaving cream , body wash and gel and Kaleb bath soap and lotion all over the 4 oz that you can take on. So of course it all had to be thrown away! Kaleb did great on the plane he just slept, ate and pooped!
It was so good to see Tim's family since we hadn't seen them since Dec 2006. They just ate Kaleb up! We were also able to have a belated Christmas with the fam, that was fun having Christmas in May.
While we were there we also had the chance to go see the Gillespie's (the family I nannied for) it was so good to see them and see how much they have grown up. They just passed Kaleb back and forth. We also went to the singles ward were we met, to see all our friends and catch up. It is crazy how things change so fast after you leave. On the Sunday before we left we had a BBQ at Danille's (Tims sister) and Dale's house. We had all the Miche's there it was a blast. The boys played catch with our niece's and nephew. It was wonderful food and fun times. We even got a picture of Tim with all his siblings and parents. We were sad when it was time to go but can't wait for our next trip and hope it will be a longer stay! Oh and while there we got to watch many Cubs games, that is one thing we really miss! Go CUBS!!
