Can you say DADDA......

Kaleb's first word was...dada. He's just the cutest thing and sometimes he just goes on and on. Jenny was practically certain that he would say "ball" for his first word, but I knew it would be something else. I actually thought that it would be mama since when he first started muttering while hungry it would resemble mama. Jenny told me he wasn't talking then though, so I turned out to be the lucky one. Now we're just waiting for him to start saying mama.

Kaleb's Laugh

Life has been crazy for the last two long weeks. Tim has been working at his normal job (Excel Cabinets), but quit because the hours aren't paying the bills. So, he got a job at Sprint as a manager so he goes to work at Excel at 7 am and then works until all the deliveries are done then drives home takes a shower and spends between 15-30 minutes with Kaleb and me then heads to his Sprint job until 9pm then he gets home about 9:30. We then pretty much go to bed. Luckily we have awesome friends who have been allowing me to hang out and feed me as well. But unfortunately Tim still has to do this for one more week. When he first took the job he was planning on doing a trial week and if he liked it he would put his two week notice in at Excel and for the last week he was going to use his vacation. Well the first week went great at Sprint and he put his notice in and his boss was going to be out of town for the second week and asked Tim to work both of the weeks. So of course Tim said he would so they are just sticking the vacation time on as a third week. I am so GRATEFUL to Tim for all he does for our little family he is such a wonderful husband and father.

Kaleb has been growing a lot lately. At his 4 month appointment he weighed in at 15lbs and 27 inches long. He has found his voice and will just jabber to us. It is the cutest thing. He also found his laugh which just puts a smile on your face. Just this last week Kaleb has discovered how to sit up on his own he is still a little wobbly but he does pretty good (picture above) He loves to be sung to and to play patty cake and have Tim rub his whiskers on his belly. We are just loving every moment with him and can't imagine life without him.

Growing up way TOO FAST!

Kaleb is growing up so fast! On the 24th of July he rolled over for the first time; he had been getting really close and he finally did it with us all watching! So we have also started feeding Kaleb rice cereal. He ate it great the first couple of times and then decided to make things difficult. He started to not really eat, so I decided to feed him some carrots with the cereal since the Dr told us we could start him on yellow and orange fruits and veggies if the rice cereal wasn't enough for him. Well, it worked out great, he ended up eating his cereal and half the carrots. He loved the carrots although he ended up with at least one-fourth of it all over him.

He even got it down his back.

He is such a funny boy! He has continued to increase the amount of fruit or veggie that he eats every night. Just last night he ate all of his cereal and all of his veggie. My mom couldn't believe he ate it all and then still wanted to nurse. She said she has never seen a baby eat that much. It must be because he is a Miche! I must say I am a little worried how we are going to keep food in the cupboards if his appetite becomes anything like Tim's. I guess Tim better hurry with that degree so we can afford to feed them!!

Kaleb trying to do it himself!!

He gets very impatient when we are feeding him. Sometimes we just can't get it to him as fast as he would like it. Tim now has to hold his hands down when he eats, otherwise he has more on himself then in him. We are slowly learning! We sure love all of our little adventures with our little boy!

4th of July

It is a little late but we wanted to post it any way. we went to the Centerville parade for the 4th of July and then to the little fair they have in the park. Milo got wet on one of the blow up toys they have for the kids so we had him ride in Kaleb's stroller to the car. Later that night we went to Alan's for his famous barbequeing which Tim had not been able to have the privilege of trying. It was a Fun day. Since we now have Kaleb on a schedule we didn't get to see any fireworks. But there is always next year.

Kaleb Walking!

Here is Tim helping Kaleb walk, he is picking up his feet all by himself. Hopefully he doesn't learn how to do this by himself anytime soon!

Trip to the Cabin

The end of June Mom, Tim, Kaleb and I had the chance to go up to Grandma Allred's cabin. It was so nice to get out of the city and enjoy the beauty of the mountains. We got up there in the early evening on friday. Grandma had dinner ready for us, after we had it all cleaned up we played games . Grandma just loves to play games and since Tim has learned to play bridge he is a little obsessed, so we played bridge until 1 in the morning. Mom and I were on a team and then grandma and tim were on a team. Mom and I had no chance of winning since grandma is very good at bridge and Tim is very competitive. Poor mom never got very good hands. But we cheated for mom the next day when we played, grandma had no idea.

The next morning Tim had the privlege to help grandma plant her very favorite trees, Aspens, which she seems to have the worst luck keeping alive up at the cabin. He planted 10 for her in various places. I guess we will see if they survive the winter and deer. The friday we went up mom's eye had started to get an eye infection but while at the cabin it continued to get worse. Then on saturday she could barely keep it open and even started to run a fever. So we had dinner and drove home so mom could get up in the morning and get it checked out.

We really enjoyed our time there. Even Kaleb loved being there at least as much as a 3 month old can, however he did not enjoy the cold water! We had a blast and are so glad we have the cabin to go to and enjoy!

Our Chicago Trip

We had the oppurtunity to go to Chicago in May over memorial day to visit family and friends. Also to introduce Kaleb to them all. Well it was our first airplane ride with a baby so it was very stressful to say the least. The day before we were flying out of Utah we found out you could only check 1 bag each so I figured we could just carrying on our smaller bag well I forgot to check what I had packed in it so when we went through security they asked to go through the bag and it ended up being Tim's shaving cream , body wash and gel and Kaleb bath soap and lotion all over the 4 oz that you can take on. So of course it all had to be thrown away! Kaleb did great on the plane he just slept, ate and pooped!

It was so good to see Tim's family since we hadn't seen them since Dec 2006. They just ate Kaleb up! We were also able to have a belated Christmas with the fam, that was fun having Christmas in May.

While we were there we also had the chance to go see the Gillespie's (the family I nannied for) it was so good to see them and see how much they have grown up. They just passed Kaleb back and forth. We also went to the singles ward were we met, to see all our friends and catch up. It is crazy how things change so fast after you leave. On the Sunday before we left we had a BBQ at Danille's (Tims sister) and Dale's house. We had all the Miche's there it was a blast. The boys played catch with our niece's and nephew. It was wonderful food and fun times. We even got a picture of Tim with all his siblings and parents. We were sad when it was time to go but can't wait for our next trip and hope it will be a longer stay! Oh and while there we got to watch many Cubs games, that is one thing we really miss! Go CUBS!!
