What a crazy MONTH......

Our Sad Tree

WE have had one crazy month most of which Tim was at work for!!! Well we started our month with Kim's 26th Birthday (The 8th)! We went out to dinner and then came back to our place for cake and presents we also ended up playing the Wii . It was also Kim and Paul's one year anniversary(dating that is). It was a fun night!

Then we have a tradition that Kim started to go to the Festival of Trees! For those of you who have never been it is Christmas trees that have been decorated and donated to raise money for Primary Children's hospital. They have lots of fun crafts for the kids and of course Santa they also have concerts going on. It is so fun to see what people have come up with. This year they has a tree that was made completely out of blown glass, a superman one(which I made sure to take a picture of for Tim) and many others.
I thought Kaleb would love all the lights and people well that was not the case. Since I had left our big stroller in the car that was with Tim at work on our way down to see the lights we stopped and bought a umbrella stroller for Kaleb because there was no way we could carry him through the whole thing. Well Kaleb had never been in an umbrella stroller so he was fascinated by the wheels and then he discovered the foot rest next thing we know Kaleb is bent over his head almost on the ground eating the foot rest! He is so funny he did it a couple more times he really could have cared less about the trees.
Then came lots of shopping and party's and then Stephen's 18th Birthday we went to dinner and no cake Stephen isn't a big fan weird I know but he is 18. We love him though especially Kaleb he can't get enough of his uncle Stephen. We like to think that uncle Jon gave Kaleb special instruction before he left heaven.
Finally Christmas Eve was here... Tim had to work until 4 and as soon as he got home we hurried and opened our Christmas pajamies and headed off to my cousin Shaunna's to do Christmas with my dad's side. We had lots of fun we had dinner and opened gifts and played games. Shaunna decided to take Tim and me to Body Worlds for our gift so we went the saturday before it was so amazing it was so interesting seeing what the body looks like inside and how it works. Tim crashed on the little loveseat with Zoey cuddled in his legs. Poor Guy! Tim and Zoey sleepingWe got into bed around 1am. Kaleb woke up the next morning at 7:45am usually I just go in and get him and get back in bed and nurse him well I was so excited for him and Tim to open presents that I just made Tim get out of bed. Kaleb could have card less about the presents he just wanted to play with what he got in his stocking. After we finished with our presents we went over to my mom's to watch Milo open his Santa gifts we ended having to wake Kim and milo up. After he was all done mom always makes yummy sweet rolls for breakfast!!! Then we had to wait for Sarah and Craig to drive up from Cedar City. When they finally got here we finished opening gifts Kaleb got spoiled from Kim (we drew names) and then went to our place and had dinner and played Guitar Hero it was our first time but we loved it Tim was of course a quick learner. We had a wonferful Christmas! But are glad it is over!Uh....what do you want me to do now???

Our New Place!!!

So we found a new place to live that is less expensive, has more storage, a carport and driveway, a fenced backyard, a dishwasher and a disposal! We moved in about two weeks ago on a Saturday. Thanks to my family and friends we were moved out of our old apartment and moved in to our new place with pictures hung by 7pm that night with only our clothes to put away. We started this long day at 6:30am, at least for me and Tim. Men from our old ward and my family started showing up at 8. The men had the apartment totally emptied out by 9, then all of the women went to work cleaning. It is so amazing to me that you leave the place you lived in cleaner than when you actually lived there. We finished up there at Noon and headed to our new place to unpack. To say the least it was a very long day and thanks to my wonderful friend Jessica and my mom and sister Kim. I wouldn't have gotten so much done also thanks to my wonderful husband who worked up until he had just enough time to shower and air dry since I forgot which box had towels (oops) and hurry to work the rest of the day. Kaleb had a very hard time with the whole move he wasn't sure what was going on, I honestly didn't think it would even phase him, oh but it did he was very clingy if he couldn't see me he did fine but the minute he would see me he would only want me to hold him. My mom helped me out a lot by taking care of him so I could clean and unpack. Kaleb was a little trooper! He had a few days of adjusting to our new home and realizing I wasn't going to leave him. Now he loves it he crawls all over the place. We all really love it! It feels like a home. We are sad we had to leave the boundaries of our old ward that we loved but we look forward to this new change. Anyways here are some pictures of our new home!

Life Over As We Know It......

Kaleb is CRAWLING!!! Yeah I know life will never be the same!

Well he finally figured it out after swimming and pushing him self up on all fours for over a month. Saturday November 8th, My mom had called me and needed me to look some stuff up on the internet so I put Kaleb down on the ground in our bedroom and went in to the living room to jump on the computer. While I was on the computer I could hear Kaleb whining so I was talking to him and the next thing I knew he was in the hallway by the living room. He has a bit of a funny crawl he doesn't use both of his legs.It will make more since when you watch the second video. He loves to just roam arond our house. He has been good so far about leaving my decorations that are at his level alone but I know this too will not last. He also discovered on saturday that he can pull him self up to stand using the couch or his bed or Me.

He is such a happy boy always smiling or giggling. He also loves to grab your face with both hands and kiss you AKA slobber all over you!

Sorry I am not the best camera woman

This is what is looks like from the back you can see what I mean but a funny crawl. But he is starting to use both legs like you see most kids do.

K.A.L.E.B

So I finally have made Kaleb's name for his room. My friend Jessica learned how to do this so she was kind enough to share the idea with me and help me do the letters. It was pretty easy and fun. I am not all that crafty but this was fun. When Jessica first showed me the idea I thought I would do one for Alethia but I decided I should do Kaleb's first as my rough draft so when I do Alethia's I will know more of what I am doing.

So I just got the letters at Michael's and then got scrapbook paper and ribbon's and buttons to embelish them. Used mod Podge to put the paper on and hot glued the other stuff. Jessica is the wonderful artist who painted the baseball on the "A" for me.

Just some close ups of the letter's

I did baseball paper (Tim's favorite sport) even though his room is all sports.

Just a close up of some of the cute buttons I used.

Chunky Monkey!

Since we have called Kaleb Chunky Monkey since he was only a few weeks old, we decided to have Kaleb be a monkey for his 1st Halloween. I found this super cute monkey costume online at Spirit Halloween and when I found it I knew it was the perfect one for him. Maybe I am a little biased, but he sure is the cutest little monkey ever!

On Halloween I took Kaleb up to Layton Hills Mall because Tim had to work, so I wanted him to be able to experience a little bit of Kaleb's 1st Halloween. So Tim was able to take Kaleb around to all the competitors kiosks to Trick or Treat. After finishing up there we went to Grandma Julie's Annual Chili Cook Off at her ward. ( Which she won once again. They just might ask her not to make any next year so someone else has some chance of winning.) Then they have a Trunk or Treat after everyone eats. Poor Kaleb was about asleep on Uncle Ed, but he held out until we were done. We then went to the Hanson house for homemade donuts and Hot cocoa which they do every year. Kaleb slept in his car seat, so maybe next year he will get to enjoy Halloween a little more. He was really good though about wearing the costume even though he was tired and sick with a cold. He is such a little trooper. He did get to enjoy a sucker on the way home which he enjoyed until he lost it!

No we have not traded Kaleb in for a girl! The morning of Halloween before Tim Left for work he debated wearing my blonde wig when he decided he it would not really work. I decided to try it on Kaleb just to see how he would look. Well, Kaleb looked so cute I had to capture the moment. I showed the picture to some of my family and they didn't even realize it was Kaleb. They told me that is what our girls will look like only with darker hair. I sure love my little Boy though and am glad he is 100% BOY! These pictures will just be black mail for when he is older!

First SNOW Fall.....

Oh Yes SNOW!! Can you believe just barely into October and we are having to deal with snow whatever happened to FALL! Anyways it was Kaleb's first snow. We didn't go out and play in it but when we were walking into church he just kept looking all around trying to figure out what it was. He is so funny! Well the next snow we will try and let him play in it. We did bundle him up and go to our friends to make and eat some dessert.
Kaleb is so curious about everything and everyone right now. It makes it so hard to nurse him if there are people or anything for that matter to catch his attention. He eventually gets hungry enough to eat or I find a quiet place to nurse him. I love him tons though. He definitely makes life a lot more interesting!
This is what was left last night!

All bundled up ready to go down to the Brandts to make DESSERT!
