Go Kaleb Go....

So Kaleb got this fire truck for Christmas from his aunt Kim and we took this video last month of him, I know we are behind but better late than never. He would do his little rocking thing when he heard the music from the truck. He was so funny he would start yelling at Tim so he would push the button for him. He is such a funny kid. I hope you enjoy the video!

Sooo Sleepy!!!!

So about a month ago Kaleb had a very rough day which also meant a very long day for me. He didn't take a very good nap and refused to take a second one. So I just tried to keep him entertained until it was finally dinner time. He was very upset to be in his high chair. He ate a little and then decided he was done so I gave him some Cheerios's to munch on while I made dinner for myself well one minute I was turned around cooking chicken and trying to comfort a whining child and the next thing I knew he was quiet I assumed he was eating the cheerios on his tray but to my astonishment I found him fast asleep in his high chair. Poor little guy! He didn't even wake up with the pictures I took. After I took the pictures I did try and lay him down in his crib but of course he woke up so instead he got a bath and then went to bed.

It looks like he was in the middle of grabbing more food when he CRASHED!!!

What a tired little boy!!!

Chicken Bone... Yum Yum!!!

So while we were visiting Sarah and Craig, my grandma came up and brought dinner for us. SO she had bought a rotisseri chicken from Costco and asked if Kaleb had ever had a chicken bone. I of course said no since I usually buy boneless chicken. So grandma had Craig pull all the chicken off the drum stick and gave Kaleb the bone. He absolutely loved it. He would have chewed on that bone forever. He got a little upset when I had to take it away so he could take a bath. Such a funny kid.

Kaleb also got to enjoy some Chocolate banana cream pie. I am not sure how he got all over the side of his face and in his ear.

Growing......10 months and counting

So we had a fun January the last weekend we went down to Cedar City in hopes that Alethia would arrive. She didn't of course she is as stubborn as her mom. But it was still very fun to spend time with Sarah and Craig since we don't see them very often. It was so nice for Kaleb to get to know them. He loved playing with Craig and giving Sarah loves. We came home Sunday so Stephen could go to his SUper Bowl Party and Alethia came two days later. We were bummed we missed her arrival but so glad she is here. We can't wait to meet her.

Monday we had Kaleb's 9 month check-up we were only a month behind but oh well. He is doing great. He is 19lbs 3 oz and 30 Inches long the dr says he is only 15 inches shorter than the average Kindergartener.WOW huh. So he told us to turn him around and start whole milk with him Yea so I can start weening him as soon as he gets use to the new milk. I am so glad I have loved nursing but I am done I am so ready to have my body back. Kaleb also has taken a couple of steps on his own so he is going to change our life forever when he gets it down so hopefully it will take him a little while longer. It is just so crazy how fast he has grown up I no longer have a baby any more he is a little man. He is such a loving little boy he loves giving kisses and cuddling which I love. Here are some Kaleb's other loves:
  • Cousin Milo
  • Shaking his head NO
  • Eating
  • Saying Dadda
  • Playing with his girlfriends Kailey and Akina
  • Singing

We had an awesome holiday season Christmas night Rachel My Best Friend from Chicago flew in to come spend the week with us. With the crazy snow storm we had she didn't get to our house until 4 am when she was supposed to be here at midnight. Of course we ended up staying up until about 6am talking. It was so fun having her here we had so much fun and did lots of talking. but for New Years we went to Jessica's and Zack's. Rachel and I were very domestic she made her families tradtional 7 layer dip and I made homemade carmel popcorn to take to the party. We played games and devoured the 7 layer dip. We had tons of fun.
I loved having Rachel here it was so nice to catch up on her crazy exciting life. We were really bad and didn't take pictures while she was here but I put some of us from way back when.

What a crazy MONTH......

Our Sad Tree

WE have had one crazy month most of which Tim was at work for!!! Well we started our month with Kim's 26th Birthday (The 8th)! We went out to dinner and then came back to our place for cake and presents we also ended up playing the Wii . It was also Kim and Paul's one year anniversary(dating that is). It was a fun night!

Then we have a tradition that Kim started to go to the Festival of Trees! For those of you who have never been it is Christmas trees that have been decorated and donated to raise money for Primary Children's hospital. They have lots of fun crafts for the kids and of course Santa they also have concerts going on. It is so fun to see what people have come up with. This year they has a tree that was made completely out of blown glass, a superman one(which I made sure to take a picture of for Tim) and many others.
I thought Kaleb would love all the lights and people well that was not the case. Since I had left our big stroller in the car that was with Tim at work on our way down to see the lights we stopped and bought a umbrella stroller for Kaleb because there was no way we could carry him through the whole thing. Well Kaleb had never been in an umbrella stroller so he was fascinated by the wheels and then he discovered the foot rest next thing we know Kaleb is bent over his head almost on the ground eating the foot rest! He is so funny he did it a couple more times he really could have cared less about the trees.
Then came lots of shopping and party's and then Stephen's 18th Birthday we went to dinner and no cake Stephen isn't a big fan weird I know but he is 18. We love him though especially Kaleb he can't get enough of his uncle Stephen. We like to think that uncle Jon gave Kaleb special instruction before he left heaven.
Finally Christmas Eve was here... Tim had to work until 4 and as soon as he got home we hurried and opened our Christmas pajamies and headed off to my cousin Shaunna's to do Christmas with my dad's side. We had lots of fun we had dinner and opened gifts and played games. Shaunna decided to take Tim and me to Body Worlds for our gift so we went the saturday before it was so amazing it was so interesting seeing what the body looks like inside and how it works. Tim crashed on the little loveseat with Zoey cuddled in his legs. Poor Guy! Tim and Zoey sleepingWe got into bed around 1am. Kaleb woke up the next morning at 7:45am usually I just go in and get him and get back in bed and nurse him well I was so excited for him and Tim to open presents that I just made Tim get out of bed. Kaleb could have card less about the presents he just wanted to play with what he got in his stocking. After we finished with our presents we went over to my mom's to watch Milo open his Santa gifts we ended having to wake Kim and milo up. After he was all done mom always makes yummy sweet rolls for breakfast!!! Then we had to wait for Sarah and Craig to drive up from Cedar City. When they finally got here we finished opening gifts Kaleb got spoiled from Kim (we drew names) and then went to our place and had dinner and played Guitar Hero it was our first time but we loved it Tim was of course a quick learner. We had a wonferful Christmas! But are glad it is over!Uh....what do you want me to do now???
