Update on Jacob!

Brotherly love

I know this is long over due since Jacob is 6 weeks now! It is crazy how time flies! Well our new addition is doing great and adjusting to life with us and a big brother who loves to love him. He has a bit of a temper and lets us know when he doesn't like something for instance if he is a sleep on someone and we move him he sure uses those lungs to let us know he is not happy we moved him. I blame the red that is showing in what little hair he has! But he is a really good baby who is so different from Kaleb. Jacob loves to be swaddled, cuddled, and loves his Binky. every once in a while he will even sleep for 5 hrs straight at night. He looked like a Who from Whoville when he was first here he starting to not look so much like one. He definitely has a lot of Miche in him I think he looks like Tim. He has these long skinny fingers and toes. My Family thinks he will be taller than Kaleb we shall see! Jacob has just started smiling I love seeing it, it makes me melt every time I see it! He is also starting to get some chubs on him. Kaleb has been so good with his little brother he loves to hold him for like 2 seconds and talk to him! He is also so good about trying to calm Jacob down when he is upset! I can't wait till Jacob can start playing with Kaleb! We are so happy to have our little Jacob in our family. I think he is a great addition to our little family. Oh yeah some of Jacob's nicknames that we or family are calling him Jakey boy, Little bear. So here are some pictures of the last 6 weeks with JD! It is a lot but enjoy!

Grandkids

So while Sarah was up here for Thanksgiving and for the week following it. We had our wonderful photographer friend take a picture of all the grandkids so mom could have an up to date one. It was very exciting trying to get a shot that had all the kids looking somewhat towards the camera and not screaming! So here they are.

Left to right: Alethia 10 months, Braxton 2 months, Kaleb 20 months, Milo 7, Jacob 2 days

Christmas!

We had a wonderful Christmas this year Kaleb was lots of fun! We spent most the holiday at my moms eating and playing the Wii! Kaleb and Jacob of course got the traditional Christmas eve jammies Kaleb was nice enough to open Jacob's for him. Christmas morning we ended up waking up Kaleb it was so fun seeing him see all the presents and actually wanting to open them even if they weren't his. He was so funny about opening them he would tear off a small piece and hand it to Tim or me and then proceed tearing of more he finally got the hang of it and did bigger pieces. After opening presents we went to my moms for breakfast and stayed there until around 6 when we then went to spend the remainder of the day with my dad's side of the family. where we ate and played and sang using the Karaoke revolution or at least Tim sang most the night we had to pry him away around 1 a.m. It was such a nice a relaxing holiday we didn't want the day to end!

Temple Square

So I have been horrible at blogging lately so I am going to have to play catch up over the next few days.
So before I had Jacob we taked about taking Kaleb down to see the lights at Temple Square but it ended up not happening so we decided it would be a better idea to take him after I had Jacob to have a special night with just Kaleb. So about 2 weeks after Jacob arrived we took Kaleb to see the lights at Temple Square, just the 3 of us of course we probably picked the coldest week to go but we had fun. We parked at the Gateway mall and rode the Trax to Temple Square it was Kaleb's first time on it and he thought it was pretty neat. Kaleb loved the lights but not as much as he enjoyed all the water falls and the horses pull the carriages around Temple Square. It being so cold and me still recovering we didn't stay very long but it was so fun spending time with our Kaleb!
On a side note the next day because we had dropped Jacob off with Grandma the night before, we took grandma to work and Kaleb wanted her to take Jacob with her it was so funny!

Chicka Chicka Boom Boom

So this is a super cute video we took of Kaleb on Tim's phone so it is not the best quality. We just finished reading Chicka Chicka Boom Boom to Kaleb and he says boom boom so cute we just had to video him. I also love how he lays on the floor just like his daddy! We sure love our little man! Hope you enjoy the video!
